Music Night at Sideboard Danville!
Performer: Les Bloch
Les Bloch writes songs with one goal: to craft the best, grooviest, most meaningful songs he can. You'll agree when you hear him sing of the joys of being a dog or the funny train wreck of a drunken fight or the summoning of a fantasy girl off the internet--Les looks at life a little differently than the rest of us.
In live performance, Les builds the groove with the help of a drum pad, guitar and looper to provide the rhythmic bed for his lyrical stories. As a songwriter, he's written nearly a hundred songs and records at his 24 track studio in Danville CA. Les is also a regular contributor to KQED's Perspectives series where he's won the prestigious Editor's Choice Award.
As a drummer, he travelled the US and landed in LA, where he played on the Sunset Strip and wore extremely ridiculous clothes. Born in Oakland and inspired by the sounds of the Bay Area, Les brings a fresh sound to every performance. His 3rd album will be released late 2022.
